Three 3D printed concrete sewer manholes have been installed at Schiphol Airport

Three 3D printed concrete sewer manholes have been installed at Schiphol Airport. The manholes have been placed in the verge near the first concrete traffic circle at Schiphol Airport. The three manholes have an internal diameter of 800 mm and a height of 1.4 meters.

Superintendent BAM: ”The very short delivery time and flexible dimensions make it a great product. In addition, the manholes are easy to install due to their light weight and shape.”

Sewer manholes are usually square. Thanks to the freedom of shape offered by 3D concrete printing, these variants have a round shape. 3D printed sewer manholes offer many other advantages. For example, they are lightweight, dimensionally flexible and have a short delivery time.
